Reidster

Today I feel old. I also feel like maybe I shouldn't have polished off those 3 doughnuts last night, Sigh, but let's not make this about me.
Nope, today it's all about this little man...

My nephew Reid.
This handsome guy made me an Auntie. 'Auntie Kevy' to be exact :) You don't know how much I miss hearing him say that. He was the very first of many beautiful children. I remember waiting (rather impatiently) outside the hospital room for him to make his way into this world. I remember looking into his curious little eyes for the first time and thinking I had never seen anything more incredibly beautiful in my whole life. His little face is engraved in my mind and heart forever. I hope I never forget that moment.

I feel old because this weekend he turned eight and was baptized. What an exciting experience for him! The things I remember the most about my baptism were the wonderful warm feelings I had all day long, and being surrounded by so many friends and family. It makes me sad that we can't support Reid on his special day in person. I hope he knows how much we love him and were wishing him all the best!

This was always my favorite time. Snuggle time :) He has always been the best snuggler. I hope he never grows out of that!
I can't believe how young he looked and how fast he grew! He was just 4 when they left for Australia. He still loved to play the 'guessing game' and as far as I know, was still interested in Dinosaurs. Now he is devouring books about the solar system. He's such a smarty pants.

How cute are they?? It may look like I'm strangling Jarom, but really I'm not :) He just wouldn't sit still! Aahhhh little boys. So full of energy.

We love you Reid and miss you like crazy! You are such an awesome big brother, your brothers and sister are so lucky to have you. You have made me incredibly proud as an Auntie and I feel blessed to have you in my life. We hope you had a terrific birthday!

Love you,

Auntie Kevy
