Our little life

Maybe you've noticed, maybe you haven't, but I've been gone for awhile. It's cruel how time slips away so quickly without us even noticing.

It's been de-junking/organizing central at my house this past week. I got kind of a late start on the whole "spring cleaning" frenzy. Ah well, better late than never I suppose.

I'm tired, but it's a feel good kind of tired. Those kinds are my fav.

Any old how, now that my house is organized, so is my head so I can fill you in on all of the purely exciting happenings of our life. Or mildly exciting happenings. It really depends on your idea of exciting. And let me tell you, once you have children, your standards in that area drop dramatically. Excitment to me is staying up past 10 o'clock. Whoo hoo.

We went to BC for the 'long' weekend at the end of June. It was nice to get away, and spend some family/friends time. It was nice to do nothing but laze around and work on my tan. Pffft. As if that happened. I was constantly taking care of my Son, I may have mentioned him before.. short little guy, crys alot. I'm sure you remember. Anyways, vacationing is sooo much different with a baby. Next time we're leaving him home with the Grandparents. Kidding. I love my babe, I'll just hire a nanny next time we go anywhere. Problem solved.

As promised here are 3 whole pictures of the big vacay. Aren't you lucky. My camera died the first day and me, being the most responsible packer in the world, forgot the charger. Oops. We had fun anyways, its just not documented.

This is what Ed did for the duration of the trip...

He also wanted me to add that HE was the one that caught the first fish.

Way to go hunnie! You outdoorsman you.
I'm so proud.

This is what Noah did for the duration of the trip...

His first experience in water of any kind other than his tubby time. As you can tell, he was thrilled. In fact I heard him say when we pulled up to the cabin, "whoa that's the biggest bathtub I've ever seen!" It was cute.

And this is what I did for the duration of the trip...

That's right. I sat right under that tree for three whole days. Well, I did venture out once or twice, but I was burnt to a crisp in 30 seconds, so I thought it would be safer to stay shaded.

All in all it was a fun time.

Other than that little trip, we've just been hangin' out at home which has officially been dubbed the 'Sauna' It heats up in our little house like the inside of an oven. If you ever need to clean out your pores, c'mon over.
We can all hardly wait until the end of the summer arrives and we get more time with our Daddy when he goes back to school and his schedule calms down a bit.
Here are my two boys reading scriptures before bed the other night...

Sigh. Life is good.

I am glad you were able to get some good pictures before the batteries went dead!!!
And I think you may be following Amandas example and pretending that you are just the narrator of your life instead of the center of it!!I guess thats what happens when you become a mommy???? Am I right, or am I right?!?!

I loved those pictures you took! My favorite is the one where Ed is reading to Noah! What a good little dad! Way to go Ed!
Your life sounds as exciting as ours!! It's true if we go to bed past 10pm we stayed up late! :)

Looks like you're keeping busy! As for the children thing... wait until you're chasing after 5 or 6 kids. That's when the real vacation starts! LOL!

Hi Kevyn,
I left you a long message on facebook and then something happened with it and it got all erased I think!!!
So I'm going to make it short...
Thanks for the comment on our blog! I had hoped more people would comment...
how was church today? Jacob slept for 2 hours before church today...so we missed sacrament...and then he made it through about 30 mins of sunday school and about 5 mins of relief society! I ended up going into Randy's class and Jacob loved it! He was entertained by the other kids and loved watching Randy teach...
I guess we just do our best right? Some babies are just more calm than others...and mine is definitely not calm! :)
