hot hot hot

Our main goal this summer is trying really hard not to melt as the temperature has been ridiculously high. We've been successful so far but it was touch and go there for awhile. C'mon, 37 degrees?? This is Canada. Seriously.
Two words. Knee Sweat. You know, when the back, inside part of your knee gets all damp and sweaty? That's a huge indicator that it's waaay to hot out. Anyone else know what I am talking about? No? Well it's gross, and now that I have confessed to having sweaty 'knee pits' I hope to never speak of this again. Ever.
Moving right along...
Aside from the heat exhaustion, we have managed to lead relatively normal lives.
We've been snuggling with our Daddy...

Splashing around in Mommy's homemade 'water park'...

Playing the Wii...
Reading highly educational books...
Showing Abuela how to play with toys...
Playing Hide and Seek (a personal favorite)...
And all the while, staying good and hydrated...
In more fun news, Noah decided to start crawling the other day. After only 9 1/2 months, I say it's about time little monkey! Now I have to figure out how to baby proof my house. Woo hoo. The first thing on my list? An entertainment center with cupboard doors. Until then however, I have the lovely job of picking up piles of DVDs from the floor and placing them neatly back on the shelf... 100 times a day.
I gave up putting them back in alphabetical order after 2 hours. sigh. If he wasn't such a handsome little toot, him and I would be having some words!

What a cutie! For a while there we couldn't watch TV with Jacob in the room because all the buttons on the dvd player, stereo etc would be too much temptation for him! Now that he's walking he's much more interested in walking rather than pushing buttons! Good luck baby-proofing your house!

I really enjoyed all those pictures, but I must say, for 37 C weather, you seem to have him in quite a few long sleeved outfits... LOL! :D

I'm probably going against the norm here, but I really think Noah looks more like you Kevyn...

I love the new picture you've got of Noah holding hands with you and Ed... so extremely cute.

Have fun with those sweaty knees!
