he's an oldie!

Happy Birthday to our favorite Husband and Father

Would you believe that I couldn't find a single picture of Ed without Noah for this post? That's just an example of how he is. Whenever he has a spare moment it is spent with his family, but most especially his number one fan, Noah. They're best buds.

This post will be a bit early. Ed's birthday is actually on the 29th but we are going out of town for the weekend to enjoy some fun in the sun with our boy. Pictures to follow.

He'll be 27 this year! Go ahead, say it... WHOA. He's an old man. I tell him that all the time. I also tell him how incredibly lucky he was to land a much younger and much prettier wife. He agrees with me of course, because that's just the way it works around here.

I couldn't tell you enough good things about this man. He's everything I've looked for in a Husband and Father of my children. All the good things, and all the bad things. His faults are something I truly enjoy about him, because they remind me that no one is perfect. Especially me. (shocker I know) they also add variety and excitement to our life. His stubborn qualities mixed with my own ensure that our time together is never dull! Our life is far from perfection. it actually borders on crazy... but it's ours and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I love you for who you are and who I know you will become. I love all of our jokes and funny names for each other. I love how you support me and are considerate of my feelings. I love the way you smell. I love the way I fit perfectly in your arms. I love the way you love our son. And I really love that I've fallen more in love with you everyday since the day we met. ( I could go on, but people would probably start puking if I did) :) Happy Birthday Babe - I hope it's a good one!

And of course it wouldn't be a proper Birthday post without a little word from our son....

Just in case you don't speak "Babyslammingonkeyboard" allow me to translate...

"Dear Daddy, I'm glad to hear it is your birthday because, as you may know I have a bit of a food obsession and birthdays=cake. You can imagine how excited I am. Oh ya, I love you. Happy birthday! Love, Noah"

I also must mention my greatest apologies to one of my cutest Nephew's Conner for not sending him a happy birthday post on the 20th. Sorry little buddy, I dropped the ball on that one. I'll be better next year I promise. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. (Something tells me that theres more than my lack of birthday posts on a 3 year old's mind. I think he'll still love me :)

Yes Kevyn, I was about to head for the toilet when thankfully *giggles* you stopped gushing. And what a gush!!! Did you forget to buy him a birthday gift or something? Well Ed, I hope its a good day for you. As my dad always says, "thank you Rose for the birthday wish but I'm only a day older you know, not a year." Maybe if you're lucky your much prettier wife will bake a homemade cake for you????
