Just a quicky post here to let you know what's up.

Ed is working late each night this week and trying to cram his brain for his midterms each day. I have a taste of being a single parent, and let me tell you, I'm exhausted. Normally it wouldn't be so bad I'm sure, except for the whole draining pregnancy thing. And the fact that Noah has decided to fight me to the death about going to bed each night. He's a very strong willed little man. And if he doesn't want something, boy will he let you know about it. All day today he's walked around with a raspy voice because he screamed for almost 45 minutes straight last night. At least he's not crying so hard he's making himself throw up anymore...that was last weeks fiasco. Whew! He is his father's son, that's about all I have to say about that.

Almost two months ago we went in for our ultrasound to see the baby who was healthy by all standards. What a blessing. But a few weeks ago I was at my midwife appointment and she informed me that they wanted me back because the baby wasn't in a good position for them to see if there were 3 blood vessels in her cord. Or so the report said anyways. Then she proceeded to tell me the risks that are involved when only 2 vessels are found. Most often it results in brain damage as there isn't enough blood flow. So here I am.. worried of course. I finally make it in for a repeat scan, only to find out that she does have 3 blood vessels and always did! Turns out their system crashed and they lost some images from most of the scans they did the day we first went in. All they needed to do was recapture the cord for their records. What a relief! She said that the baby is doing very well and measuring 2 weeks farther along than we thought. Which doesn't necessarily mean that the due date will change. However they told me the same thing with Noah and he showed up a week early. We'll see!

Anyways, here is a picture of our daughter whose name we have FINALLY decided on! Ed was absolutely killing me this time around. He hated everything. And I mean everything! So as soon as we came across one we both liked (it was a small miracle) I jumped on it. I declared that to be her name without further room for discussion. Now, don't get mad. Normally I would tell you all what it is. I get upset when people say to me "We have a name but we're not telling anyone" And here I am sort of doing it! Muahahahah. No, no I'm kidding. I just don't want to announce it to the world wide web. It's a boy name - go figure. It was really important to me that I continue on with that tradition. And well frankly I haven't heard of it at ALL for a girl and I would like to keep it that way for the next three months at least. However, if the suspense is absolutely too much for you to handle, if you are losing sleep because of me and my evil ways, go ahead and email/facebook me and ONLY after you are sworn to a vow of secrecy shall I reveal it to you.

All others can simply bask in the beautiful life you see before you, who kind of creepily looks like she has no eyes.

Dear Australian Prepchuk's,

I know you were a little nervous that you might not see a lot of snow when you come this winter. You have missed it terribly and I feel for you. But rest assured. I have a feeling we won't have a shortage of that beautiful white stuff by the time you get here....

I've been listening to the sound of emergency vehicles from my window all morning. Around here there are an abundance of hills. Which of course equal slippery conditions which equal a bazillion accidents. I was so happy to stay safe and warm and dry in my little house this morning.

And lastly...
Could someone tell this kid to stop being so darn cute??

Seriously. Sometimes it's just too much for me to handle!

Did you birth with midwives last time? Who are you birthing with? We're with Birth Partnership. Loving it so far (did not have them with A).

Glad to hear your little girl has everything cleared up on ultrasound. I'm sure she will be perfect :)

Oh and I"m pretty sure our kiddos know how to look so cute because otherwise their Toddler antics would drive us completely batty! If it makes you feel any better, sleep is for the weak over here too :)
